Our Learning Environment
Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) 7 Areas of Learning and Development are essential during a child's time at First Friends Preschool because they provide the foundation for future learning, growth, and wellbeing. The three prime areas—Communication and Language, Physical Development, and Personal, Social and Emotional Development—help children build confidence, develop relationships, and gain the skills needed to explore their environment. The four specific areas—Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World, and Expressive Arts and Design—encourage children to develop knowledge, creativity, problem-solving skills, and curiosity about the world around them. By supporting all seven areas through child-led learning and meaningful experiences, First Friends Preschool help children become confident, independent learners who are prepared for the next stage of their education.
Communication & Language
Developing speaking, listening, understanding and confidence through conversations, stories, songs and daily interactions.
